Telemedicine Services Expanded By USDA with $16 million grant

Recently, the United States Department of Agriculture announced the funding of $16 million in grants dedicated to expand distance learning and telemedicine services. This will provide healthcare access to millions of residents in rural areas through telecommunication improvements, and will include expanded educational opportunities for schools and their students. The donation is provided by the USDA’s Distance Learning and Telemedicine Loan and Grant program: “providing funding to rural hospitals, clinics, schools, and libraries for equipment and technological assistance for telemedicine and distance learning.”
