A new study suggested that nighttime would be one of the most useful times to use Telemedicine at hospitals, as “Telemedicine is most effective when applied where physician resources are scarce, patient care is time sensitive and service volume may distributed across a network.” As nighttime care is relatively hard for most hospitals and ERs around the world because of staff shortage, Telemedicine technology could potentially fix this issue. “Lower volumes of nighttime admissions in rural facilities may indicate a market for Telehospitalist solutions to address the dilemma of hospitalist staffing shortages.”
